If you are looking to ease the burden, the use of Styrofoam
Peanuts in the bottom, then use the compost in the top half.
You can even broken pottery vessels, if necessary, even if
remains strong after. To ensure sufficiently used
Soil in the pot, so that plant roots can grow
Field. I also used blocks of Styrofoam broken
in the case. Good luck.

The easiest thing to do is to turn a pot of cheap plastic (eg, plants that come in department) to the bottom of the pot and pour on top. It also inserts pot that is in your local garden center, but you do not need to spend the money.

If the pot is big, big coal can also use hardwood bottom. I have this huge square purple pot, I had the same problem and ended up with plastic bottles and 2 liter Pepsi hardwood charcoal. It worked very well.

Below is the link to my blog and another link to the post, with my big purple boat.

Good luck!

How rocking on a boat on the bottom of a large pot and fill with soil around it?

If you do something like a brick, will be difficult. I have pieces of insulating foam insulation - it is not really to destroy. Make sure enought depth of the soil in the pot grow well.
